The Bad Print exhibition hides a story about poor photo prints, overexposed and defective, found in the bin. Artist Anton Kuznetsov found their unusual beauty and gave a new life to the images of once captured reality.

The contemporary human, admired by opportunities of photo editors, Instagram filters, is used to smooth out all rough edges and "errors" of the reality. In his project, Anton Kuznetsov, on the contrary, brings all the noise to the fore. Moments of life, taken out of the context and captured on canvas, lose their initial meaning. Time becomes a hero of the paintings.

For the artist, the key matter is confrontation between the artistic realism and the reliability. Anton Kuznetsov paints anatomically correct human figures, perfectly depicted interiors. Including noise into paintings, the artist seems to create an effect of spying. There’s an image of the mirror. On the one hand, it is used to demonstrate various additional perspectives, on the other hand, it captures the moment of escape from reality. It gives an opportunity to distinguish the original from the reflection.
