At the curator’s initiative, Russian artists and fashion designers explore the potential of our understanding of the cultural institution. They present the interpretation of the museum staff uniform, i.e. garments and features reflecting their own experiences of the museum space. The exhibition also contains sketches, lookbooks, tissue samples and information materials.

The project presents the graphics by Roman Litvinov also known as Mujuice. It is the first time that one of the most forward-minded musicians on the Russian arena will exhibit his artworks.

The Workshop, the annual exhibition project under the MMOMA, has been running since 2001.  Discovering new names in the contemporary Russian art has been and still is a principal goal of the project.

January 24 — February 23, 2014

A large-scale of display of Tabenkin’s oeuvre is timed to the 100th anniversary of the artist and will be held in Moscow for the first time. The exhibition comprises more than 100 works including the artist’s abstract still lifes dating back to the 1970-80s, the work that put him on the map. Tabenkin’s early figurative paintings and papier-mâché objects are also on view.

December 18, 2013 – January 19, 2014

More than 30 abstract works created by the artist in the last decade will be put on display in the MMOMA venue at Tverskoy Boulevard, 9. The main subject of Chkhaidze’s art is Light that connects the physical world and the metaphysical one.
